We (my 12 year old daughter and our family) are VERY happy with The Village Academy! She is steadily catching up from the year of school closures, with attention from the staff and individualized lesson plans that support her growth.

The Academy offers mixed age classrooms that allow children to flow back and forth based on abilities and current levels vs. limiting them to an age/grade based class structure.

I also appreciate that I have so much say in determining her learning priorities.

We just completed our first year at the Academy... and we will be back for next year!

We LOVE The Village Academy! After a tough school year with lots of tears and anxiety at our public school we decided to take our daughter out of that school and enroll her at the program at The Village Academy mid year. Best decision ever for her and our family. The teachers are THE BEST and the small school environment with project based learning, time for creativity and outdoor play is what makes a huge difference. She now loves going to school AND is learning. Her reading has improved significantly because she feels at ease and the Montessori reading program offers a great fit for her. At the Village Academy there is so much care for the individual child, not everyone learns the same and they really understand that. If I could give the school 10 stars I would! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have been set on unschooling my daughter, however, I was really battling with creating the community and environment that I wanted for my daughter and my family. We joined The Village Academy in January this year in a desperate attempt to find community and I am so glad that we did! My daughter has blossomed and is enjoying having a consistent circle of friends to play and learn with. The Village Academy is wonderful at meeting my daughter where she is. My daughter still has so much choice in what she chooses to do, yet is challenged to step outside of her comfort zone and is learning and growing in so many ways. There are tears if we're late and she misses out on time with her friends and most days we're of the last to leave as she enjoys her time there so much. The teachers are wonderful with my daughter and accept her, quirks and all. I, as a parent, have the opportunity to be involved with the school and I am enjoying my new version of homeschooling, away from home, but not away from my child, with a wonderful group of kids and families.
